What are metal profiles?
When making all kinds of metal products, it always starts with some kind of prefabricated material. In very rare cases, the prefabricated material itself is made for special applications, but most often it’s purchased in the form of metal profiles . Metal profiles are used both in the home and garden, with various industrial applications and it can be said that their role is important for engineering. Profile types:
Steel Profiles
The most common of all metal profiles are the so-called steel profiles which offer different characteristics depending on the specific type of steel from which they are made. There are stainless steel profiles that can be exposed to the weather for a long time. Some other types of steel profiles are more tensile and are suitable for carrying a heavier load. Galvanized profiles
The use of galvanized profiles is mainly associated with their corrosion protection. Due to the difference in the electronegativity of zinc and the base material of the profile, all galvanized profiles last longer without corrosion.
Stainless profiles
As mentioned briefly above, a class of metal profiles, so-called stainless profiles , can last indefinitely without corrosion or as we put it more simply, rust. The reason for this is that these stainless profiles contain alloying elements such as chromium and nickel, which prevent corrosion in the classical sense.
Metal profiles prices
It’s not a secret that what interests the costumer in the first place after the availability of the product is its price. With regard to the different metal profiles, the prices vary based on what the respective metal profile is made of, what length per piece we want and what dimensions the cross section of the given metal profiles whose prices we check. For example, a square profile with dimensions 10x10x1.5, with a length of 6 meters would cost BGN 4.9 or a profile 40x10x2 would cost about BGN 13. The prices of metal profiles are purely indicative, but can give you an idea of what to expect financially. Recycled parts, or those of obscure origin, may offer lower prices than those established for such profiles , but one must be careful, as such offers can be deceptive in terms of quality. In other words, metal profiles with a price much lower than the market are questionable and should be avoided.
